Senior Spotlight 2024: Ella Nove - Prairie High School
Ella is another senior from Prairie High School who I have had the absolute honor of watching grow up over the years and I even photographed her brother Jackson a few years ago when he was a senior. I always love when I get to photograph siblings and make another connection with families. As always, thanks so much for trusting me with the big milestones in all of your lives!
Ella is super sweet and just goes with the flow so I knew my session with her was going to be a fun one! Between a recent cross country camp and practice starting, Ella is one busy girl so I'm happy she let me take her senior photos during some freetime. We met up in the Amana Colonies near the Millwright Hotel. There's just something special about the Amana Colonies - the rich history, the quaint roadways, and the rustic buildings - that makes for a really unique setting to take pictures. The hotel had some perfectly worn in white brick outside walls which really complimented Ella’s mauve romper and also her white jeans with a solid blue tank top. My senior girls have the best styles between their solid colors and fabrics with a little bit of textures, I love it all! Of course no trip to the Amanas would be complete without a quick stop at their barns, especially for our farm girl Ella. It was covered with some lush ivy and other greenery which really gave us that old barn feel.
After we finished at the Amanas, we made our way to Kent Park. It’s located about three miles west of Tiffin off of Highway 6 and it’s truly picturesque. It has over 1,000 acres of prairie that’s covered with native grasses and wildflowers as well as a 27-acre lake that’s full of various fish. Fun fact: More than one quarter million trees have been planted in Kent Park since 1970! So as you can imagine, the nature views are plentiful and we had fun exploring this special area. Ella found a walking trail through a field of wildflowers and we made it down to the lake right at the most magnificent golden hour. We were chasing the sunset by the end of the night but got that hazy sunset over the trees just in time to call it a wrap. Enjoy these favorites from my night with Ella!
Ella - Thank you for squeezing in time with me between cross country camp and practice! Good luck this season in all of your sports! I know you will be amazing!
