I’ve been lucky to know Ethan and his family for many years. However, it’s been quite some time since I’ve actually seen Ethan in person! Besides him growing up and now being taller than me, nothing much has changed though! He is still just as sweet and laidback as I remember. He makes my job easy and we always have a good time while we pick on each other. I haven’t been to Solon very much during this senior season so I was excited to explore that area!

We went downtown inside the Literary Hotel which is a historic little gem. Fun fact: it was originally an early 20th-century auditorium which was restored and recreated into a multi-experience right in the heart of downtown Solon. Once we were inside, we found their attention to detail perfect for some senior photos. There was the original maple flooring from 1950, exposed brick walls, and other special touches to give it that Midwest feel. Ethan looked so professional and stylish in his suit while we were at the Literary!

We were also by the Palmer House Stable in Solon, which if you haven’t been there, you need to check it out! It’s used for weddings and other life events and is actually the leading rustic venue serving Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque, the Quad Cities, Cedar Falls, and the surrounding areas since 2013. How cool is that?! With all of that said, you know this place is unique and loaded with some incredible settings for photos. Seriously, the whole Solon downtown area was the perfect, quaint little setting for a senior session!

Lastly, we wrapped up Ethan’s session at Kroul’s Farm in Mount Vernon. This really provided us with allllll the fall vibes from the golden corn in the field and the beautiful blooming mums to the pumpkin patch overflowing with pumpkins and the greenery still surrounding everything to round out all the fall colors. Ethan traded in his suit for a more relaxed look in jeans with a hoodie, flannel, and a jacket. He wore mostly neutral colors which really helped him pop out against the vibrant fall colors! Ethan definitely nailed all of his outfits and the locations he chose were stunning. I had a blast reconnecting with him so I hope you enjoy these favorites of mine from his session!
