Monthly Roundup: September 2023
After a wildly busy August, the month of September started off surprisingly slow for me! But for good reason as I went on a short vacation out west to Colorado and Utah with my husband to celebrate our anniversary! We hiked some incredible trails, saw some beautiful sights, and I came back feeling refreshed and rejuvenated as I kicked off September!
This month brought out allllll the fall vibes between the cooler temps and leaves changing colors to the sunsetting earlier each day and the style choices my seniors wore for their sessions. I loved all of the neutral colors along with the variety of textures and plaids I saw. This time of the year is so beautiful and short-lived which makes me appreciate it even that much more. Palisades was once again a hotspot this month because there was still so much greenery there along with a wide variety of rich, fall colors!
As my senior sessions for the class of 2024 are quickly winding down, I recently found myself almost entirely caught up on editing for the first time EVER at this point of the year! Whoo hoo! I’m telling you, that vacation at the beginning of the month really got me recentered and refocused on doing what I love. I’m so grateful to preserve memories through photos and watching my clients light up when they see their photos brings me so much joy!
My photo booth was also quite busy this month! A favorite fall event of mine to attend each year is the Ely Fall Fest. This is such a fun family event and I love seeing how much each family changes from year to year. The weather was kind of blustery but we made the most of the day outside. I heard from several people that they keep their photo booth strips from each year after this event which is part of why I love being there! I was also fortunate enough to be part of homecoming celebrations at Springville High School and also Coe College. Even though I joke about having to stay up past my bedtime for homecoming, it’s so fun seeing everyone dressed up, dancing the night away, and having fun with friends! Oh to be young again!
While my senior sessions are almost wrapped up for the year and the fall sports are well underway, I know I’ll stay plenty busy as I look ahead for the month of October. I have some more seniors, a few families, and the start of winter sports are right around the corner! If you have a sports team or other organizations of some kind, be sure to get on my schedule soon as spots are filling up! September was a good one and I'm excited to see what the rest of fall has in store for T Marie! See you in a flash!
