Senior Spotlight 2024: Caleb Day - Marion Home School
Caleb had the honor of being my last senior session in September! I’ve been photographing his family for the past 4ish years so this session was really fun to get some 1:1 time with just Caleb. He’s an awesome kid all around so I had a feeling that this was going to be a great session and by the end of it, I was right!
Caleb is an outdoorsy kid so we made our way to Palisades. I know I have went out there quite a bit this month but that’s for good reason: there’s SO many different photo spots and it’s absolutely beautiful right now! Seriously, the landscape out there is changing by the day with more fall colors appearing as the weather starts to cool off more. Plus Caleb let me know that he loves the cooler fall weather so this was a perfect location for him. Luckily enough, we had one of those perfect fall days for a senior session!
Admittedly, trap shooting is something that I don’t know very much about. Thankfully, Caleb is homeschooled but participates on the Marion High School trap shooting team so I definitely learned a thing or two from him! He proudly showed off all of his medals that he’s won at various events over the years. We used his gun as a unique way to display the medals and with his jersey on, he was beaming with pride for having won so many awards!
We found some trails to walk along at Palisades and also some really neat areas with stonework. There were even a few wildflowers that I convinced Caleb to let me take some pictures of him by. They added just the right amount of color! Caleb was styled great in plaid, navy, and jeans to give off all the fall vibes. We had a fun time exploring and it was the best way to wrap up my senior sessions for the month of September!
Caleb - thanks for teaching me a little bit about trap shooting! I hope you have an awesome senior year!
