Senior Spotlight 2024: Brodie Abbott - Prairie High School
Brodie’s senior session was unlike any other I’ve done as it was full of adventure and filled me with adrenaline! We were fortunate enough to start his session in the Central City area at his grandparents farm. There was a beautiful barn, corn field, and other “farmy” stuff that made for some super unique and awesome backgrounds. Brodie’s grandpa was so sweet and funny because he kept calling all of his farm stuff junk. I just saw it all as so full of potential for photos! I mean, what’s more Iowa than some rustic farm equipment and a corn field in senior pictures?!
After we took a few photos around the farm, Brodie’s grandpa took me in his side by side out to a pasture. This is really where things got intense! It was so cool seeing Brodie in his element and zipping around the pasture and through a trail on his ATV. I’ve never seen a high school guy go from a suit and tie to casual wear then to an ATV suit so seamlessly but Brodie really pulled off each look. I especially loved that he incorporated his Boy Scouts uniform and was so proud to share this side of him. It's so fun getting to know each of my seniors during their sessions and documenting their special interests in unique ways!
One last location that we stopped at was the Paris Bridge in Central City. If you haven’t ever been out to this bridge and area, you are missing out! I love the architecture of this bridge with the big, red beams and how it overlooks the Wapsipinicon River. Even though it’s still early fall, some of the leaves are already starting to change colors so combined with the red bridge, it was a really incredible background for photos. Brodie’s plaid flannel was perfect for this area! Give me all the fall colors and plaids - it's such a classic combo! This senior session was definitely one for the books so I hope you enjoy my favorites from my time with Brodie!
Brodie - thanks for such a memorable senior session! Have fun on all of your adventures this year!
