Senior Spotlight 2024: Landon Reed - Prairie High School
If you really want to make a senior guy shine, photograph them beside their shiny car. Landon started out his senior session kind of shy and reserved but once we got to the top of the parking garage with his car, he really lit up! There’s just something special about high school guys and their vehicles because you can tell how proud they are in the sense that they never miss a chance to show it off or talk about it when given the chance. This was especially the case for Landon! It was a great way to end his photoshoot but before we call it a wrap, let’s backtrack through the rest of his session!
We started downtown by the library in Cedar Rapids which I love because there are so many different background options. There’s the rustic brick walls, the oversized library windows, the variety of art sculptures, and the walking trail around the area. Landon is really big into marching band, so he brought along his tuba to include it in some photos. It looked really neat in front of the federal building downtown especially with the flag flying in the crisp, blue sky.
Landon’s session was kept pretty casual and low-key which really fit his personality. And his outfits of choice really suited him as well which is a nice bonus! You can never go wrong with jeans, a solid polo, and a button up shirt with a fun pattern. Even though we had some dark, ominous clouds roll through, we lucked out and avoided the rain. It turned out to be a perfect, early fall day for some pictures outdoors. Enjoy these favorites from my time with Landon!
Landon - thanks for showing off your cool car to me! I hope you enjoy your senior year and I wish you the best of luck in marching band!
