Senior Spotlight 2024: Brayden Mahoney - Prairie High School
In true Iowa nature, we finally got a break from the humidity only to be met with a little bit of rain during my recent senior session! Thankfully Brayden was a trooper and we made the most of our time together despite a few showers here and there. Oh and I also had a big mishap on my own part… I somehow knocked my camera on my lip which split it open and it just kept on bleeding! That was a first for me! Talk about embarrassing but thanks to Brayden and his mom for helping me out so we were able to laugh about it by the end of the session!
We started out at the Amana Colonies again and typically I don’t take seniors to places where I’ve already photographed other seniors. But the wonderful thing about the Amanas is that there are so many unique little areas to really give everyone their own look! The sky was just misting a little bit while we were by the barns which added just enough drama to Brayden’s photos. Is there anything more country than a guy next to his pickup truck in his boots with his fishing pole and a little bit of rain? He nailed it! Before we left the Amanas, he looked extra dapper in his suit. I love this formal look combined with the fresh outdoors. He added in a football and looked like one of those guys ready to rock on draft day!
Speaking of football, we also took some photos at Prairie High School on the football field and a few in the locker room. This is where Brayden really loosened up and seemed to be the most comfortable and was willing to do just about whatever we asked him to do! He was definitely in his element with his jersey on and a football in his hands! We had a lot of fun on and off the field even with it being an overcast day and some rain drops towards the end of our session. Here are a few of my faves from our time together!
Brayden - thank you for going with the flow and helping me out when I needed it! Enjoy your senior year and good luck this football season!
