Senior Spotlight 2024: Sara Kluetz - Linn Mar High School
Imagine stumbling upon an old piano nestled amongst the trees with a soft breeze on a warm, sunny fall day like something straight out of a fairytale… only you don’t have to imagine that because that was reality for Sara’s senior session! But before I ever even got out my camera, my friend Whitney got Sara all dolled up by doing her hair and makeup. She’s already a natural beauty so Whitney made sure she had one less thing to worry about on her picture day!
We went to Kent Park where nature was really showing off all of its beautiful fall colors along with the sunshine peeking through the trees. Before we knew it, Spine Moving showed up with a piano. Like, I’m talking a real life, actually working but not in tune, piano. It was a real beauty! I especially loved the old candle sconces right on the piano front itself. The two movers were quite friendly and extremely helpful as they unloaded the piano right into a little clearing that we found.
Because Sara has been playing the piano for the last ten years of her life, this was a very special way to document this talent of hers. It was dreamy, whimisical, and like I said previously, reminded me of something right out of a fairytale. Sara played a few notes then posed around and on the piano itself. A true hidden behind the scenes moment that you won’t see was when Sara’s mom was sitting on the other side of the piano to ensure it remained stable and secure while she was sitting on it. The things parents do for their kids and to get the perfect photo! I always love when the support squad my seniors bring along with them don’t hesitate to jump in wherever they’re needed to help out during a session! Spine Moving graciously waited for us to finish photos with the piano then they loaded it back up and whisked it away as if it was never even there in the park!
After that, we made our way to the Amanas where we took some pictures by the Millwright Hotel. I just love that whole area, especially this time of the year, because it is decorated so darling right now with mums and pumpkins a plenty! Even though Sara started off a little shy with me and soft-spoken in the beginning, by the end she was definitely embracing her time to shine and let loose a little bit! I loved all of her outfits that she wore too. She had the cutest rompers, beautiful neutral colors, and a super fun Spiderman outfit to finish out her session. Sara wasn't afraid to rock her own personal style and I am here for that! These are just a few of my favorites from my fun time with Sara!
Sara - you are such a sweet and kind girl! I hope you have the best senior year because you deserve it!
