Right when I think the summer flowers might be fading, a senior session takes me somewhere new where they’re still in full bloom. Maci, a Prairie High School senior, suggested we go to Lowe Park in Marion and also the art alley. I don’t frequent those areas too often but they did not disappoint! We were fortunate to have some seriously gorgeous weather with the most perfect sunset and sun flare to boot. At times the wind tried to be a little difficult but we made it work out for us… at least we weren’t melting in the humidity so that was a plus!
When we first got started, Maci was a little reserved which is totally okay! Not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera right away so I try my best to make each senior session enjoyable which means I might have to get a little silly to bring out those genuine smiles. It didn’t take Maci long to warm up to me though and before I knew it, she was laughing right along side me and having fun! If anyone ever leaves a session with me and didn't have a good time, then I know I did something wrong!
For outfits, Maci wore some darling summer dresses which had the best twirl to them. I loved how these looked amongst the flowers and in the alleyway. She also paired some solid shirts with jeans which you know is a classic look for me. It just never goes out of style! Like I said, I don't frequent this area too often but I was really digging the rustic brick walls, the vibrant colors, and all of the beautiful late blooming flowers. Between the beautiful scenery, the amazing attire, and Maci's sweet personality, her session was a super special one! I hope you enjoy my favorites from our time together!
Maci - thanks for being so flexible and having a fun time with me! I hope you enjoyed the ham balls for dinner (which I still need the recipe for!) because they sounded delish!
