Senior Spotlight 2024: Kayden Errthum - Western Dubuque
I officially kicked off photographing the Class of 2024 seniors with my beautiful niece, Kayden, from Western Dubuque High School. I knew she wanted a field full of flowers for her photos but unfortunately in Iowa, it is still a little too early for that. So, I brought the flowers to her after picking a few beauties right from my own flower garden at home!
Our first location was Palisades Park outside of Mount Vernon. It was a picturesque summer day with the sun shining bright and just a few small clouds hovering over us periodically. Kayden is a country girl at heart so she proudly rocked her cowboy boots alongside her FFA jacket while posing with the fresh flower bouquet. We spent some time exploring the wooded areas and after a few outfit changes, we walked down onto the beach. We had to dip our toes in the water to cool off a bit of course.
Once we wrapped up at Palisades, we headed into Mount Vernon for a couple of other fun photos. And fun was definitely had! We started to get a little goofy and I could tell that Kayden was enjoying being able to let loose while doing some silly poses. We had quite the afternoon together and I am thrilled to share a few of my favorites so far!
Kayden - you are so sweet and thank you for such a fun senior session! I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off capturing the Class of 2024 seniors! I hope you have the most wonderful senior year!
